The Science Museum Group
This augmented reality software takes science classes outside.
The Wonderlab Augmented Reality app, developed by the Science Museum Group and features location-based gameplay to gamify science education and bring learning into the real world, was just released. The program, which was developed in collaboration with the immersive gaming firm PRELOADED, makes use of geodata to transform 338 objects on the street into educational augmented reality activation points that, when scanned with the camera on the phone, offer information about the creators' creation. For instance, a charging station might provide insight into the history of electric automobiles. In the UK, users can download the app for both iOS and Android.
