Increasing funding for community health programs that serve women of color is a driving force.
Health in Her HUE, a digital health platform reducing racial health disparities for Black women and women of color, raised USD 3 million in seed funding in January 2024. Founded by Ashlee Wisdom, the platform serves nearly 13,000 members through a directory of over 1,300 diverse providers across 60 specialties. The app also provides a supportive community forum with virtual events and culturally tailored health education. The new funding will expand the Care Squad program, covering topics like fertility and postpartum recovery, and introduce a video service for clinical health questions.
