A campaign that reduces the stigma associated with sexually transmitted infection testing as foreplay.

During their lifetime, one in every six people in Australia may have a sexually transmitted infection (STI). Beforeplay is a program that was launched by the Australian government in January 2024 with the intention of normalizing sexually transmitted infection testing among young adults between the ages of 20 and 34. The countrywide campaign was conducted on social media, major dating apps, and in the vicinity of universities, pubs, and clubs with the intention of redefining pre-sexual engagement procedures to include testing for sexually transmitted infections (STIs). In addition to that, links to various resources and information were added. According to Ogilvy, the agency that was responsible for Beforeplay, the objective was to make the practice of sexually transmitted infection testing a socially acceptable one by employing sexual terminology that is already common in order to encourage a proactive approach to sexual.
