In an effort to broaden its focus on friendships, Bumble has acquired a community-building app.
The dating app Bumble, which is based in the United States, made the announcement in June 2024 that it had acquired Geneva, an application that helps users build online communities, with the intention of enhancing its focus on social networking and friendships. While little information is known about the nature of the acquisition, it's likely Geneva will be integrated within Bumble – bringing group messages, event planning, community management and voice/video chats to the app's existing infrastructure.
