Artificial intelligence meets streaming: Showrunner enables the development of tailored episodes.
Fable Studio, which has won an Emmy, has introduced Showrunner, an artificial intelligence-driven streaming service that allows fans to design, narrate, and animate episodes of television shows by providing them with simple cues. In the beginning, customers who are on the waitlist of more than 50,000 people will have access to ten different animated episodes. These shows will range from the dark horror anime Ikiru Shinu to the Silicon Valley spoof Exit Valley cartoon. Following the viewing of previously produced episodes, users are able to compose prompts that will generate subsequent episodes in accordance with their own personal direction. The beginning of the showrunner was announced in May of 2024. An episode of South Park that was generated by artificial intelligence was created by Fable Studio, which is based in the United States, prior to the launch of the internet service.
