Territorios Audiovisuales Indigenas

This documentary filmmaking project aims to empower indigenous women.

TAI, which stands for Territorios Audiovisuales Indígenas, is an autonomous organization that trains rural and indigenous women in Bolivia and Peru, intending to prepare them to become documentary filmmakers. TAI, which Wara Vargas and Fátima Choque established, is a cultural organization that is financed by the Centro Cultural de España in La Paz. Its primary objective is to preserve the oral history of communities and build cultural identity through the medium of documentaries. 'Adelaida' is the title of the second documentary that was produced by TAI and released in November 2023. The film focuses on the life of a fisherwoman along Lake Titicaca. A healer from the indigenous hamlet of Aguas Calientes is featured in the film "Vitalia," which was released in 2022. She does plant-based healing and massages to preserve the knowledge that her ancestors passed down to her.
