Kraft Mayonnaise

The labels on mayonnaise jars can be peeled off to disclose what the jars can be used for in the future.

In Venezuela, a promotion run by Kraft Mayonnaise urged consumers to find new uses for the glass jars that they purchased. After the mayonnaise has been removed from the containers, Kraft has printed the names of the goods that can be stored in the containers underneath the standard labels. There are ten different variants available, including one for flour, grains, coffee, salt, sugar, pasta, rice, office supplies, and an all-purpose "something delicious." Even more, one of them can be used as a measuring cup. The global recycling rate is approximately twenty percent, despite the fact that glass may be recycled an endless number of times without suffering any degradation in quality. The remainder is disposed of in landfills, where it may take a total of one million years for it to decompose. Kraft's limited edition jars, which will be accessible across Venezuela until September 2024, have the potential to encourage people to find new and interesting applications for glass, so preventing it from being thrown away in landfills. As a result of the overwhelmingly good response on social media, a significant number of individuals intend to get all ten.
