Description of their identity
The Vicious Men is a tribe of young and older adults who make their identity from the bond with alcohol and narcotics. They highlight non-routine moments in which excess and distraction become their tribal banners.
In this sense, it is not alcohol or narcotics that are central, but the effect they produce in social and symbolic terms: the rupture of the established, the association of the person with the masculine, and excess as a symptom of manhood. Masculinity is understood from the perspective of adventure as the formulation of moments in which control is lost. Therefore, the moment becomes hedonistic, masculine, non-working and wild.
