Barbour & Oxfam

It is possible to rent jackets from Barbour during the Glastonbury Festival.

Barbour will collaborate with Oxfam to rent out their waxed cotton coats at Glastonbury Festival in June 2024. This will be a cause marketing initiative that combines sustainability, try-before-you-buy experiences, and cause marketing. A pre-loved and reconditioned Barbour Re-loved jacket is available for festivalgoers to use for the duration of the weekend for a fee of forty-five pounds. All of the earnings from the rental service will be donated to Oxfam, which will become available through Oxfam stores located on the premises. Barbour Re-loved is a program that was introduced five years ago, and it allows customers to send in or drop off their old wax jacket in order to earn a voucher for fifty pounds to be used on a new wax jacket. Before being marketed through a variety of channels and partnerships with companies like as Ganni and Gucci, coats are repaired and re-waxed at the facility where Barbour is located. As part of the Glastonbury project, Barbour will be offering these items for rental for the very first time. A significant number of the jackets will be constructed using recycled materials and fabrics that were previously used for Glastonbury Festival t-shirts and souvenirs. This will give historic attire a fresh and modern look.
