Household goods store begins offering grants to help educate new employees.
In a move to alleviate severe labor shortages, Lowe's, a US-based company, has pledged USD 50 million over the course of five years to train 50,000 individuals for jobs in the skilled trades. These two-year grants aim to help underserved communities build a skilled trades workforce by funding community colleges, nonprofits, and technical schools in the United States. The campaign is managed by The Lowe's Foundation, a nonprofit organization affiliated with the home improvement company. March 2023 was the month of announcement.
