Yellow Sticker Cookbook is a resource that assists consumers in locating recipes for discounted grocery items.
The phenomenon of sticker shock in grocery aisles is a real phenomenon in countries that are not acclimated to inflation, and it is causing an increase in the number of individuals looking for brightly colored labels that signify markdowns. On the other hand, not everyone is naturally gifted with the ability to improvise. Yellow Sticker Cookbook was developed by Uncommon Creative Studio, which is situated in London, with the intention of assisting consumers in determining what to do with foods that are available at reduced prices. Users, using their mobile devices, navigate to the web app for the cookbook and scan a discounted product. They are able to input items that they already possess in their homes, and then they can click through to locate recipes that combine those products. Through the use of this free service, individuals are able to "find the meal in every deal," as the tagline of the service states. The customer experience practice at Uncommon used the Google Vision API to produce the Yellow Sticker Cookbook, which was released in February 2023. This API is capable of detecting and identifying items in the real world.
