The restaurant's aquaponics garden, which uses recycled water, earned it a Michelin Green Star.

The Indian cuisine that existed before British colonization is honored at the Haoma restaurant in Bangkok. A second farm in Bangkok raises chickens, goats, and cows in addition to providing fish and drinking water for the restaurant's aquaponics farm, which collects and stores more than 200,000 litres of rainwater yearly. In November 2022, Haoma was presented with Bangkok's first Michelin Green Star. Two years later, in February 2023, the restaurant hosted a pop-up dinner featuring a seven-course meal and a seaside barbecue, at which guests had the opportunity to meet Haoma's original chef, Deepanker Khosla. As a result of Khosla's work in the community during the pandemic in 2021, he was honoured with the title of Champion of Change.
