Post offices in Paris have begun providing fitting rooms for customers who shop online.
The ability to pick up a box and immediately try on the clothing or shoes that they have purchased online will be available to customers in Paris beginning in January 2024. During the course of a study that was conducted by La Poste, the postal service of France, isolated fitting cubes were sent to seven different places throughout the city. Customers have the ability to return an item without delay if they make the decision not to keep it. In addition to providing a recycling bin for the disposal of boxes and other types of packaging debris, La Poste also provides printing services for return labels and packing tape. The fitting rooms, which are designed to look like the characteristic yellow mailboxes used by La Poste, are a part of the larger group of initiatives that the corporation is making to modernize its post offices. The 'duo' lockers, which allow for the rapid collection and shipment of packages, and the pick-up lockers, which enable customers to collect their deliveries at any time of the day or night, are two additional aspects that are designed to accommodate online shoppers.
