Retailers now have access to artificial intelligence-based skin care consultations.

As a result of a collaboration with the French cosmetics retailer L'Oréal, more than one hundred Sainsbury's supermarkets in the United Kingdom are now providing customers with artificial intelligence-powered skincare consultations. iPads loaded with L'Oréal Group's ModiFace technology will be used by trained beauty experts at Sainsbury's. These experts will use virtual tools such as L'Oréal Paris' Skin Genius and Garnier's Skin Coach to measure factors such as the severity of wrinkles, pore quality, and radiance. They will also provide customers with personalized skincare advice and product recommendations. The announcement that a number of establishments will be receiving dedicated take-over spaces was made in December of 2022.
