Deep Green

In order to heat swimming pools, data center energy is utilized.

A company called Deep Green, which is based in London, takes the heat that is produced by the servers in data centers and uses it to heat the water in swimming pools. At the same time, the company uses the cold water from the facilities to cool the servers. A sustainable alternative to conventional cooling procedures, this method greatly cuts down on the amount of energy that is consumed as well as the amount of carbon emissions that are produced. It was observed that the heating expenditures for one swimming pool in Devon were reduced by sixty percent. A start-up company was successful in securing an investment of GBP 200 million from Octopus Energy in January of 2024.
