Johnson's Baby has begun selling refill cartons for the infant toiletry bottles that are already on the market
In May 2022, Johnson's Baby, a brand owned by Johnson & Johnson, introduced refill cartons for already existing infant toiletry bottles. These cartons were predicted to use 90 percent less plastic than the original bottles. The firm claims that the refill cartons are constructed out of 76% paper derived from FSC Mix-certified well-managed sources and 24% plastic, which equates to around 8g of plastic in every 1L box. It has been reported that 11,202 refill packs will eliminate one metric ton of plastic waste. In addition, the manufacturer claims that the boxes are recyclable in areas where the necessary infrastructure are present. It appears that 92 percent of the local councils in the UK offer recycling choices for paper-based cartons; nevertheless, you may be required to bring the cartons to a domestic recycling point in your area. Beginning on May 1, 2022, the refill packets will be made available for purchase by Sainsbury's and Amazon in the United Kingdom. After that, they will become accessible at Boots, Tesco, Superdrug, and Ocado in mid-May.
