Stella McCartney revolutionizes fashion with world’s first sustainable BioSequins material.

On the cover of the April 2023 issue of US Vogue, Stella McCartney unveiled an environmentally friendly alternative to sequins. Radiant Matter is responsible for developing the material known as BioSequins, which is used in the jumpsuit handmade by Cara Delevingne. BioSequins are the first lab-made sequins that are biodegradable, non-toxic, and created from plant-based cellulose. There are no metals, minerals, or synthetic pigments or colorants used in the production of BioSequins. Radiant Matter, a company started by a woman and trying to change the fashion business with sustainable and circular solutions, was chosen as one of 20 finalists in the H&M Global Change Awards in March 2023. The H&M Global Change Awards is a global challenge looking for innovators who reimagine the fashion industry.
