At this hotel, which runs on vehicle power, cost and sustainability are top priorities

Cars are used to power everything at the Hotel Hyundai, from the ambiance lighting in the guest rooms to the restaurant's farm-to-table menu. The three-week pop-up hotel opened its doors to customers in the United Kingdom in October 2022 in response to research conducted by Hyundai that found customers in the United Kingdom were searching for more affordable and environmentally friendly vacation options. The off-grid getaway, developed in collaboration with British journalist Grace Dent, was powered by Hyundai's Vehicle-2-Load technology. This adaption enables users to power household appliances through the automobile by employing a plug outlet. Visitors were treated to indoor and outdoor eating options, cooking by the fireplace, and an IONIQ 5 coffee lounge serving barista-made espresso.
