Hotel with a positive carbon footprint currently under construction in Denver
It was stated in April 2022 that the newly built hotel, now being constructed in the central business district of Denver, will not have any parking spaces when it opens. Guests must take the train from the airport to a transportation center directly across the street from Populus as an alternative to driving themselves. It's just one of the design elements that will help it become the first hotel in the United States to be considered carbon-positive, which means it will be responsible for capturing more carbon than it will produce. The natural aspen trees found in Colorado served as the basis for the design of the building, which features windows that imitate the pattern of tree trunks.
