Rolls-Royce and Iris Van Herpen have collaborated to deliver high fashion to the open road.
Rolls-Royce introduced the Phantom Syntopia, a version of the automobile that was designed by Dutch fashion designer Iris van Herpen and was influenced by haute couture. The manufacturer claims that it is the most technically complex' project that the Rolls-Royce Bespoke Collective has ever attempted and that it will take more than four years of research and development to finish. The luxury brand's collection for 2018 was based on the concept of biomimicry, which refers to the imitation of natural phenomena, such as patterns and shapes observed in the natural world. The collection gave the vehicle its name. In addition, Iris van Herpen created a one-of-a-kind outfit to go along with the Phantom Syntopia theme. The Phantom Syntopia is also the first Rolls-Royce vehicle to have its very own signature aroma, which was created by a seasoned perfumer and designed to leave a lasting impression that extends beyond the automobile itself.
