Retail giant Walmart to increase availability of electric car charging stations

It was reported in April 2023 that Walmart and Sam's Club in the United States intend to make electric vehicle ownership more accessible and inexpensive by constructing their own electric vehicle fast-charging network at thousands of sites by the year 2030. This network will be added to the 1,300 stations that are already in place. They can provide easy charging choices in rural, suburban, and metropolitan regions because of their unique position, which allows them to have a store or club within ten miles of ninety percent of the population in the United States. In order to provide consumers with the convenience of shopping or dining while charging their vehicles, chargers will be installed at Supercenters, Neighborhood Markets, and Sam's Clubs. The company's goal is to offer Every Day Low Price pricing, which will reduce the amount of money spent on transportation. Walmart is striving toward attaining zero emissions by the year 2040, and this program is helping to assist the company's efforts to change its business and product supply chains into more regenerative supply chains.
